Sandra Flohr is the chef that is joining us again this summer at the Shipwright Inn. Her cooking last year went down famously with our guests.
Sandra graduated from both the Culinary Arts program and Pastry Arts Program at Holland College Culinary Institute of Canada,
Graduating in 2010 from the culinary program and the pastry arts program in 2011.
She has since gained vast experiences in both pastry arts and culinary cuisine and loves supporting local PEI producers
and farmers. Sandra spent her internship working in a Michelin star restaurant in Ardmore Ireland under the leadership
and direction of her Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter who wrote his first cook book and gained his first Michelin Star
during the course of her internship.
Sandra is an eager learner always wanting to expand her culinary knowledge and expand her culinary and pastry portfolio.
She is thrilled and excited to be part of the team at the Shipwright Inn, is happy and delighted to be cooking for the guests
that arrive over the course of the summer at the beautiful Shipwright Inn.
At the Shipwright Inn we believe in starting the day in the best possible way with a great breakfast.
Freshly brewed coffee is always available from 7:30 a.m. for those who need that extra encouragement in the morning to rise and shine.
Our dining room allows for our guests to have breakfast on their own table or to enjoy the company of others.
We use, wherever possible, local Island produce and shop daily to ensure freshness. Our preserves are produced by the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company and our coffee is unique to the Shipwright Inn blended for us by the PEI Roasting Company.
Guests are able to choose from a wide selection of gourmet PEI teas or enjoy any of our speciality hot chocolates
Our friendly staff are always available to answer any questions you may have at Breakfast time and will always help in planning your day.
In the afternoon, for our guests enjoyment, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, homemade lemonade and a selection of cakes / cookies are always available on our buffet in the dining room. We bake cakes and pastries on a daily basis.
We try, wherever possible, to accommodate specific dietary requirements so please let us know, in advance, if you have allergies or are following a specific diet.
For those who have an early tee-off or departure a ‘box breakfast’ can be made up for you to take with you.
To complete the experience our menu changes each day so you are always able to enjoy a different breakfast during your stay.
